Great Britain's Tony Cliffe ( @TMCPower), the 2018 120kg class (265lb) @the_EPF_ European equipped #Powerlifting Champion, has won his first @theIPF World #Classic Powerlifting title. Tony's lifts were a squat of 327.5kg (722lb), bench press of 242.5kg (534.6lb) and a deadlift of 350kg (772lb) for a 920kg (2,029lb) European Record total. . #SBDPowerlifting

USA ( @usapowerlifting) #powerlifters Amanda Lawrence ( @Miss.Amanda.Ann) and Daniella Melo ( @DaniellaMelo) put on a fantastic show in the 84kg category at the @theIPF World #Powerlifting Championships. Amanda set World Records in the squat (243kg/536lb), and deadlift (252.5kg/556lb), and Daniella set a World Record in the bench press (137kg/302lb). Both ladies finished on a World Record total of 613kg (1,351lb), with Amanda securing the World title on bodyweight and Danielle being credited with the World Record total. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #SBDPowerlifting #SBDUSA

SBD Elite #powerlifter Brett Gibbs ( @brettgibbz) took the overall silver medal in the men's 83kg (183lb) class at the @theIPF World Powerlifting Championships. New Zealand athlete( @NewZealandPowerlifting) Brett squatted 295kg (650lb), benched 210kg (463lb) for the silver medal, and pulled 315kg (694lb) for an 820kg (1,808lb) total. #SBDPowerlifting

In an exciting 72kg (159lb) class, US Virgin Island's ( @USVIpowerlifting) Kimberly Walford ( @Trackfu) marked her return to the international platform winning her 7th @theIPF World #Powerlifting Championships title. On her way to victory, Kimberly set new Masters 1 World Records in the deadlift with 242.5kg (534.6lb) and total with 535kg (1,180lb). #SBDElite powerlifter Kimberly won gold in the deadlift and bronze in the bench with 112.5kg (248lb). #SBDPowerlifting

Congratulations to USA's Taylor Atwood (T_Atwood) on setting a new @theIPF #squat World Record in the 74kg (163lb) class with 283kg (624lb) at the 2019 World #Powerlifting Championships in Sweden! Taylor increased the existing world record, which was set at the 2018 World Championships by Japan's Yoshihiro Higa, by 7kg (15.5lb). #SBDPowerlifting #SBDUSA

Congratulations to Maria Htee ( @Maria_Htee) on winning her first @theIPF World #Powerlifting Championship title today in Sweden. Canadian Maria placed 3rd in the 63kg (139lb) class at the 2018 World Championships, but dropped back to the 57kg (126lb) class this year. She also placed on the podium in 2017 (2nd in the 57kg class), and 2015 (3rd in the 57kg class). This was Maria's fifth World Championships appearance, and her successful last deadlift of 197.5kg (435.4lb) secured her the overall gold medal with a World Record total of 472.5kg (1,042lb). #SBDPowerlifting #SBDCanada

USA's Heather Connor ( @Heather.E.Connor) set a new @theIPF #deadlift World Record in the 47kg (104lb) class at the IPF World #Powerlifting Championships today. Heather pulled 176kg (388lb) to increase her own existing World Record by 0.5kg (1.1lb), which gave her a winning total of 378.5kg (834lb). This victory was Heather's second World title, her first being in 2017. #SBDPowerlifting #SBDUSA
