Here is what we say to anxiety: I'm sorry you feel that way. Why are you afraid. I'm sorry to hear it. Is there anything I can do to help. & then, listen. Let the ramble-rant occur, let anxiety talk itself down from panic to unease to acceptance &, perhaps, to hope. Be kind & understanding, bc you have been there too... Trauma causes one of two reactions, an always closing in or a forever being bursted open. Endeavor for the latter. Be vulnerable, be open. Be loving. Learn to do this for your self & for the world.
