Living in the middle of Cape Town there are all kinds of sound streams, the 14 mosques call for prayer, (adhan) every day, but also the people drumming on the street every Saturday. It is said that the sound currents we are exposed to the first 3 years of our lives is what we recreate for life. Everything in the universe has a frequency, the Schuman resonance is the frequency of the earths magnetic field. It has been at 7.38 hz for thousands of years, but in the recent years it has increased to over 30hz.The Schuman frequency is in tune with the human brains alpha and theta waves. We are vibrational beings, even our organs vibrate at different frequencies. The mantras that many religions use ( man=to think, tra= tool or instrument), in Sanskrit means, a tool to think. The repetition of a mantra reduces the thoughts, mantras are taught auditorily, letting the frequency of the sound go through the body. Like the Sufi Whirling Dervishes, their hat represents the tombstone of the ego, the white skirt the shroud of the ego, when they take off the black coak, it represents being reborn to the thruth. We all have different sound currents, listening to your own and other peoples sounds can tell you a lot about a person. How do they enter a room, are they so quiet nobody notices them, do they drop all their stuff noisily when they sit down, sighing loudly, what's the level of their voice. Sounds are being made because of subconscious patterns, talking loud, or whispering, slamming doors and throwing things showing our frustrations and anger. Be conscious of your sound current not just your voice, at what frequency are you moving through life.
