Cov Tri 2019:
Swim- Felt well rested going into the swim, decided not to check my watch until the end. Ended up swimming a new 400m PB (5:52). Race time ended up being slower as I couldn't get the cap off my head 😂. Bike- The bike started off quite poorly until I realised it was slightly uphill into a head wind. After that my speed picked up and I managed to average 20mph for 11miles. Then cramp struck, apparently my legs were mote tired than i thought. After a breif streching stop, i spun back to transition, ending up with 19.5 mph average for the 20k.
Run- After racking my bike, i began the 5km run. The cramp really began to take its toll in the 1st 400m. Mangaed to get around the first mile in 6:22 then began to slow from there, coming home in just under 22 mins.
Overall it was a good race and a chance for me to test myself ahead of racing season
