What we subject them to for their entire short existence is absolutely appalling. ・・・
This is their reality. This is the reality of the chickens you consume 🐓💔 Michael Specter, a staff writer for the New Yorker, visited a chicken farm and wrote, “I was almost knocked to the ground by the overpowering smell of feces and ammonia. My eyes burned and so did my lungs and I could neither see nor breathe...there must have been 30,000 chickens sitting silently on the floor in front of me. They didn’t move, didn’t click. They we’re almost like statues of chickens, living in nearly total darkness, and they would spend every minute of their 6 week lives that way.” During their short life, these innocent chickens undergo intense stress, overcrowding and horrific living conditions. With these intensive confinement fifth and disease spread easily among the birds. Many suffer from serious health problems chronic respiratory illnesses and bacterial infections. Additionally chickens are usually fed growth hormones to grow size at a much faster rate however many are unable to support their unnatural weight undergoing much stress on their body and mind.
Imagine you being in his situation. Imagine someone saying that “I don’t care” or “chicken nuggets are life though” “chicken tastes so good though” while you endure these living conditions for someone to then dine on your flesh. Are those reasons justifiable to ones pain and suffering?
Keep chickens on off your plate.
