Every day I'm more baffled, why is the response to sadness, loneliness, and boredom always so reflexively, without regard to context, to move on? Fix it? Change the subject. The floor is lava.
What are we running from. You feel it yes? Your heart?
Evil we allow. It's so easy to pollute. It takes tremendous effort *not* to pay people to poison us, poison the land, and steal our water. One might think evil is our nature, it is not. Evil exists only in our holding opinions of its existence. And why is it so easy to pollute, to be complicit to corruption, to lay idle while the world and her first people are taken advantage of for centuries? Because we excuse it.
We do that, do we not? Our brain offers excuses and we gobble them up.
Even this much reveals our desperation for reasons not to feel pain.
What is so bad about emotional pain? Emotional pain does not cause depression, psychological suffering does. Emotional pain does not cause harm, psychological suffering does. Psychological suffering is the way the brain thinks about emotional pain. Psychological suffering is the pool of thoughts that fills the hollow space where our ability to feel pain should be. And how do we become able to feel pain, so that this terrible suffering can stop? How do we become able to do anything. Do it!
Feel that pain when it comes up. Be honest with yourself, vulnerable, intimate with yourself.
The way we feel love is psychedelic, it is a kaleidoscope of changes and complex layers, rich colors without words, it is what we call our feelings! Feel the whole of it. It's all love, you are brave and strong, and there is no need for bravery or strength!
Laughter, madness, grief, joy, boredom- these are our lives. Whatever we shut out will orbit our lives until destruction.
Feel what you feel and do what you want, they are not incompatible! You bless people with your presence and explore your world even if your heart is screaming with loneliness or bliss or something completely new.
To do what calls you, just as you are.
Feel into resistance.
It is hot, but you cannot burn.
