⚡The only thing stopping you is YOU⚡Happy Monday fit fam 💪🏼 So I haven't been squatting heavy consistently 😥 and when I tried squatting a plate, I was getting scared and wouldn't go as low 😖 It's more fear than my actual ability to squat! Here I'm doing pause squats 3 x 5 at ~40 kg/90 lb so I can get comfortable being and holding this position. We all have our weaknesses 💁🏼‍♀️ Ultimately these limitations are all in our heads 🤦🏼‍♀️ Today's message? It's mind over matter! You're more than capable of doing anything your heart desires 💗

I was only gone for three days but I missed home cooked meals 😅
Eating out is fun and all, but after a few days I just want something simple (preferably made with love by my SO 💖) Tonight we had chicken with bell peppers (my favourite veggies), carrots and mushroom. It was a dream come true 🌈

Still all smiles even though I’ve been feeling insanely sluggish for the last week from traveling and being on a plane 5 times in the last week.  Some was pleasure some was work. 😬

High altitude often makes you feel drained or short of breath, bloated, metabolism is affected due to poor eating patterns or lack of eating, lack of sleep, etc. I swear I can just feeeeeel my cortisol levels rising lol. Also alsooo high levels of cortisol can effect muscle mass, increase fat accumulation, and even a loss of cognitive function. So yeaa with that all being said, stay dress free and travel smart, sleep, bring snacks to help in all this! 😁

2. Dumbbell step up shoulder press into reverse lunge
3. Bulgarian split squats (30 sec each leg)
4. Seated cable row
5. Cable deadlift into squat
6. Overhand tricep pushdowns
Each workout takes 5 min 30 sec so in a perfect world, it would take about 41 min with 1 min between each workout switch.

I’ve gotten A LOT of questions about how I’ve stayed on track with my nutrition this pregnancy & I’ll be 100% honest, in terms of nutrition, this pregnancy has been rough 😩

In the beginning foods I normally ate every day, I didn’t want anything to do with.
Seriously I’d gag just at the thought of chicken.
All I wanted in the beginning was beef, cheese & cereal.
& I swear there was a 2 week period where I ate more bratwurst than I care to admit.

I know some women still track macros & eat healthy during their pregnancy, but I just didn’t want to put that added pressure on myself.
I knew if I did & I wasn’t perfect I’d just beat myself up over it.
I wanted to enjoy my pregnancy as much as possible & for me that meant letting go some & listening to my body & my cravings (maybe a little too much 😅).

Do I regret eating whatever I wanted during pregnancy? Yes & no.
I know I still gave myself plenty of protein & fed my baby the nutrients he needed to become strong & healthy.
But then again I think about maybe if I would have been a little more strict, I wouldn’t have gained 36 pounds already.

Who knows man. At the end of the day, I’ve really enjoyed being pregnant, I’m healthy, baby’s healthy & that’s all that really matters.

But you better believe I already have a postpartum plan outlined to get me back on track once little man is here!

1. Goblet Squat 3 x 12
2. DB Split Squat 4 x 6-8 (depending how long u can keep your balance I suck at this!!! Forward lean to feel the glutieees more)
3. Barbell Hip Thrust 3 x 15
4. Nordic Ham Curl 4 x 4 (Can u tell these are my absolute fav yet!? I swear my hamstrings are much more developed in just 6 weeks of incorporating this)
5. Leg Extension 3 x 12
6. Cable Pull Through 3 x 12

Hope you had an awesome weekend. Today I did shoulders/chest and abs. Didn't feel like working out today...I was tired from a busy weekend (staying up way too late with my awesome brother/sister in law but it was so worth it) and definitely feeling it today. But i knew getting in my workout would make me feel so much better when I was done and it did.

*DB Side Lateral front and back
*Shoulder Press
*Repeat 4X12 reps

⏩ABS: 4X40 seconds on/20 seconds off

*Knee-in Twists(knees towards each shoulder)

Even though I think I have a great squat form, there is always room for improvement ! Today I decided to go lighter in weight and add a resistance bands around my knees to make sure I was going straight up and down (instead of shifting to side). Remember, it’s about how much lift but how you lift it!

I wasnt planning to come to the gym, because yesterday I walked nonstop at work 😣 my watch said I did 22,800 steps. To me that is alot...I was so tired..that I just went to sleep early. Legs are sore. So,my motivation was to workout on my back & biceps.💪

Hopefully I can do legs tomorrow. I sure do miss my squats & deadlifts. knee is still hurting a bit, just trying not to put any pressure on it.
