GUYS, I did all the FiTnEsS things today!
I actually worked out & I ate allll the healthy foods today, so I’m counting it as a win. Aren’t you proud of me?! 😂🙌🏼
I’ve gotten A LOT of questions about how I’ve stayed on track with my nutrition this pregnancy & I’ll be 100% honest, in terms of nutrition, this pregnancy has been rough 😩
In the beginning foods I normally ate every day, I didn’t want anything to do with.
Seriously I’d gag just at the thought of chicken.
All I wanted in the beginning was beef, cheese & cereal.
& I swear there was a 2 week period where I ate more bratwurst than I care to admit.
I know some women still track macros & eat healthy during their pregnancy, but I just didn’t want to put that added pressure on myself.
I knew if I did & I wasn’t perfect I’d just beat myself up over it.
I wanted to enjoy my pregnancy as much as possible & for me that meant letting go some & listening to my body & my cravings (maybe a little too much 😅).
Do I regret eating whatever I wanted during pregnancy? Yes & no.
I know I still gave myself plenty of protein & fed my baby the nutrients he needed to become strong & healthy.
But then again I think about maybe if I would have been a little more strict, I wouldn’t have gained 36 pounds already.
Who knows man. At the end of the day, I’ve really enjoyed being pregnant, I’m healthy, baby’s healthy & that’s all that really matters.
But you better believe I already have a postpartum plan outlined to get me back on track once little man is here!
