The rate of hip replacement has increased by 30% from 2000 to 2015, with the rate of knee replacement nearly doubling (OECD 2017 📚)

Whilst more serious situations involving joint degeneration, arthritis and injury can occur, we must also consider scenarios where the pain is simply referral

Since the Longus is a long muscle, pain can be felt from the groin towards the inner side of the knee. Vigorous exercise requiring contraction of the inner thighs (ie sumo stance deadlifts, snatch, horse-back riding) are such causes. Tightness will limit movement of your thigh and create stiffness of the hip joint
••
To resolve tightness and consequently reduce pain, we can use a variety of tools: barbell, kettlebell, foam roller or massage

Conventional deadlift ☠️ So many benefits from doing deadlifts and is also a great way to put on some size and increase overall strength. 
Keep in mind it is important to have good form to prevent injury. (Practice makes perfect)

Key points for doing conventional deadlifts: ✖️Feet shoulder width apart
✖️Keep the bar close to the body ✖️Keep the back straight at all times (neutral spine) ✖️engage core and lats to prevent hunching over upper back 
Here are a few lifts of mine working my way up to a 3 rep range x 4 sets 
1st video: 140kg
2nd: 160kg 
3rd: 180kg

Everything is hard before it gets easy☝🏻♈️ Ich wollte erst ein 👱🏼‍♀️ auf mein Gesicht pinnen aber wer guckt im Training nicht auch merkwürdig, wenn es anstrengend wird? Mich sieht man schließlich oft im Gym etwas „ernst“. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Mein Sternzeichen Widder ♈️ passt einfach zu 100% zu mir. Schon immer war ich entscheidungsfreudig, zielstrebig, ehrgeizig ohne Verluste, ungeduldig, impulsiv und hatte immer einen sehr stark ausgeprägten Willen. Nicht alles ist in einem bestimmten Maße immer gut aber vieles kann im Leben von Vorteil sein. Ein Moment in dem mich dies gestört hat, war als ich meinte nicht auf Hilfe warten zu können und dachte ich könnte alleine das Sofa vom Obergeschoss ins Erdgeschoss die Treppe runter bringen. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️😂👍🏻 Fazit: hat geklappt mit viel Fluchen. 😤😬

Had some planned testing before I went away on a stag do last week, had a ‘mock meet’ with doubles at around 91-92%ish. I’m currently working away so having to train in a pure gym which isn’t ideal but hey ho! Squats I managed to hit 160kg for a double @9.5ish which was a bit shakey due to the shit racks in the gym. Bench I managed to hit 100kg for an easy double @8.5ish even though I lost shoulder placement on the first rep. Deadlifts I managed 180kg for a double @8ish even though I lost my balance on the first rep cos I had to wear trainers and not my usual deadlift shoes! I’m a massive gym princess, I know 👸 I like to think of these scenario’s as my minimum’s however. Over head tricep extension 👊 i see this exercise done poorly quit a bit . You will notice no body English and complete control of the movement . Both eccentric and concentric movement is to full range of motion . Very thoughtful motion and very controlled tempo . Weightlifting is about conquering the weight . Fast uncontrolled movement is shit . Make that mind muscle connection . Proper weight lifting is a ballet every movement is precise. Graceful . Intentional and you are In completely command of your movement and muscle.

after many attempts, I finally did it. Shaking in my converse but I did it 💪
wasnt expecting it either because I went on Tuesday for deadlifts and it wasnt looking good 🤣 I wasnt given up tho ..

Also thanks to the chalk, that came in just in time. I order liquid chalk. In my opinion I think it's better than the loose chalk. 🤷‍♀️ I only applied the liquid chalk once. Ooh no mess 👌
