Part 32 - seeing blind
Tash holds y/n in the tightest hug she can, letting the news sink in that her good friend is moving away. Tash is a few years older than y/n. She’s a single mother with a kid, she felt like her life has reached end point Then she met y/n, and she felt young again. “I will miss you, y/n. And so will a lot of the kids under your care.” She tells her. “I don’t worry about them. They have you.” Y/n smiles. Tash wipes her teary eyes before letting out a laugh. “Oh, let me see that again.” Y/n lets out a laugh, lifting her hand showing her ring. “You’re a lucky woman.” She beams. Y/n gives her a small smile. Truth is she still doesn’t know how to feel about the proposal. She knows that it only happened because being married is easier to make the whole moving together to another country easier to accept. She doesn’t even want to get married to begin with. She told Hans that a long time ago when they started dating, he probably forgot. “The hospital’s favorite nurse and most popular coach is leaving at the same time. It’s gonna be a heartbreaking day.” She hums. Y/n lets out a scoff. “How are you gonna tell your favorite kid goodbye?” She asks. “Katie?” Tash hums. Y/n sighs. “I don’t know. I mean she’s seven, she’ll cry about it and forget.” She frowns. “Nah, she won’t.” Tash bumps her hip to y/n’s making her chuckle. “Yeah, I hope not.” She sighs. “I don’t want to leave her, but life goes on.” She claps her hand. “I just wish Mr Horan won’t stop coming to the hospital after you left.” Tash says. Y/n looks at her. “Why would he?” She asks. Tash shrugs. “He seems to only recently been active in Katie’s hospital life after you scolded him that one time-“ “I didn’t scold him!” Y/n groans. “Yeah, you did. Chelsea told the whole staff about it-“ “She twisted my words!” They both let out a chuckle before y/n sighs. “It’s not my job to keep that man on the line. He should be here because he wants to.” Y/n says. She looks at her feet thinking about him, about the last time she saw him. He was a really good friend. They didn’t know each other long but he was a good person the whole time she knows him. And she’s definitely going to miss him.
