🗣 You only see 1 minute of the workout but there are 59 more you don’t. This week I talk about some of what goes on during the other 59.
When you set big goals it requires big faith, big effort, and big consistency. I swear I have all of the above and yet somehow that goal still feels elusive sometimes. When that thought hits right in the middle of a workout things instantly get tougher because you are now fighting a physical and mental battle. It is undue pressure and detrimental to progress. Knowing that is one thing, stopping it is another. But in the meantime you are in the middle of a workout so you gotta push through anyway.
Goals should stretch you and you should want them bad enough that it bothers you if they seem to be in jeopardy. However, what you can’t do, and what I must work on not doing, is falter mentally and let the year end goal trip you up today. There are 130+ days left to make things happen. Do your best TODAY. Tomorrow and the days after will take care of themselves. December 31st I may be able to do 50 pushups in a row or I may not but TUHDAY if I can only do five in row or two in a row 25 times they will be the best I have and that is enough!
