New Year’s Resolution whattt?!! We all have those goals that we have been snoozing from the past 5 years and well, I get that we can’t lose those 10 kgs when we do need a motivation to start and it does seem more painful than a breakup to avoid eating that burger, cake and pizza (I’ve been there, trust me) but usually it takes baby steps to develop a habit and then stick to it.
A few habits that I developed are:
🌸 Drinking water in a glass bottle. Always keeping it with me in my bag and refilling it at home or from dispensers. Not only glass is healthier than plastic but it also helps free your environment from the plastic waste. A lot of our single use plastic goes to the landfill and it’s not recycled, it does not decompose. So what you can do is to carry a cloth bag, steel straw, glass bottle and a flask to avoid getting plastic ones. You can go check out @trashitpk for the deets. Be a saviour, save your planet! 🌎 .
🌸 Reading before going to bed. It took me a while to leave the phone, stop sleeping while scrolling through Instagram and switch to books. Trust me it calms you down and puts your hassle to rest. Start with an interesting book first to build the tempo.
🌸 Three workout sessions per week if not more. Boy oh boy, it does hurt and it takes me a lot of effort to push myself but once you get to the track then you get comfortable. Exercise not only helps your body get in shape but also regulates your hormonal health and promotes mental health as well. 🏃🏻♀️
🌸 Limiting sugar intake. For a girl who even dreams of chocolates and cheesecake it is difficult to avoid desserts but then once you start limiting your sugar intake you’ll feel a lot of change in yourself. The key is not to give in to those temptations but then even if you do it (a liddul) do compensate it with a workout. 🌈 When you successfully perform your goals for three consecutive days, reward yourself it helps reinforce the habit. ▶️ Share your goals and accomplishments in the comments.
