Peace While Waiting 🌻
So you’re waiting, but you’re waking up every day wondering if today is the day or what you can do today to move the process forward. This is impatiently waiting on God to do his thing. This is not enjoying the season and living it to the fullest. This is rushing the master party planner. This is not peace. Romans 14:19 says, “let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace”.
Peace can be defined as contentment. When you have peace, you are very aware of it and you want to tell everyone around you how it feels. Peace is that deep breath you take. Peace is that silent “thank you, Lord”. Peace is a God-given gut feeling that everything is okay. It’s a feeling of getting neutral with God - not forward or reverse. If you haven’t yet read Sacred Pace, go buy it.. now.
When the time is right to make a forward decision, you’ll either feel amazing about the idea and have this over-joyous peace surrounding you or you’ll try to keep quiet about it in hopes that God doesn’t see or hear you. Hah.. yeah okay. Sometimes, you’ll have that peace, move forward, and God will close the door. First response may come our a little like this, “seriously.. I waited and made these preparations and moved forward and now what.. stop?!” Instead, find that peace to be able to respond with, “Thank you God, for sparing me from more heartache and stress by closing doors that you have not yet prepared me to walk through at this time”.
He does ALL things for our good. We just have to trust Him, be patient with his timing, and find peace. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its own time”. His ways are Holy. He is the all-knowing King of Kings. Every hiccup in life has a reason, has a purpose. He is working, even when we don’t know he is around. He is working before we begin praying and asking for help. He has fought and won the battle before we even know we are a soldier. He is wrapping his arms around us before we begin hurting. He is calling us worthy while we are still sinning. He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to die for YOU, before you were even born.
