I’m not surprised by the first four but that last three got me a little bit; i didn’t think i’d agree at all with anything related to democrat or socialist ideas; i personally claim independent, as neither the democratic & republican parties are entirely, if at all, for the people; both parties have gone against the people & have gone back on their word.
I took this quiz, which allows you to not only expand the answer options from “yes” & “no” to a wider selection of more detailed answers, but also allows you to add in your own view/answer for the topic of question at isidewith.com
There are also websites that allow you to see, on a graph, where you are in terms of right/left wing & conservative vs liberal.
If we were united as Black people, there would only be one Black person running for a specific seat.
Let me explain.
If there were, let's say 3 Black people running for a specific seat, we would hold a series of Black forums to interview each candidate. After a minimum of 3 forums, we would select the best candidate that will not only represent the community as a whole, but would have a special interest to address Black concerns and issues. Every Black citizen would vote for this Black candidate, because he has been tested and vetted. This would ensure we keep an Uncle Tom, step-and-fetch out of office as a representation of and for Black people. This would also show the power of the Black vote.
I mean,I can dream, can't I?
Today, I'm thrilled to announce two HUGE milestones - the launch of our first official campaign video (!!!) and that we BEAT our first fundraising goal, raising over $100k in just 13 days.
That's absolutely incredible. YOU made it possible - by contributing, sharing, and re-posting. I can't thank you enough.
We shot this video out of the back of my truck, with my friend Brandy driving and a videographer and sound guy in the back. My incredible girlfriend Carol makes a quick cameo about halfway through, and of course, my dog Koa had to get involved. The other people you see are my real-life neighbors and my mom's friends at her assisted living facility.
The point is, this is a team effort. Unlike most candidates in this race, it’s my first time running for office - and I’m not a politician. I’m in it to fight for all of us.
I believe that we have a responsibility to take care of one another and to step up and DO SOMETHING when we see injustice— both at home and abroad.
But I can't do it alone.
Today, I need you to step up again. Will you share this video with your friends and networks and help keep building momentum to restore our values to Washington?
Together, we can do this. #CA53#democrat#progressive#veteran#LGBTQ#Marines#USMC#congress#california#politics#politico
