Олег Лившиц: "Привет всем. Хотел рассказать о своём ученике, 19 лет, категория до 67.5 кг, дивизион с прохождением доп контроля. Выходил на выходных в Москве, Россия под эгидой федерации Союза Пауэрлифтеров России. Жаль я не смог приехать, и подсказать жим лёжа после приседаний начать меньше, минимум на 10, 15 кг от максимума делавшего на тренировках. Приседания закончил со 180 кг, рекорд России, но его не будет, так как баранка в жиме поставила на троеборье жирный минус. Хорошо что сделал перезачет на тягу и выполнил Мастера Спорта в отдельном движении, даже на 15 кг перевыполнил. Что можно ты сделал и даже больше, всё нормально, идём дальше вместе и ошибки устраним. Вот его рассказ личный: «Выступал в троеборье впервые,до этого пару раз в тяге отдельно и раз в жиме отдельно. Приседания начал со 170кг с шагом в 5 кг,на тренировках больше 175кг не брал. Закончил результатом 180кг,что является МС в отдельном упражнении. Жим начал со 100кг и не справился ни разу в 3х подходах,получил баранку(2 раза отрыв таза,один не пожал). Тягу начал со 195кг,что уже МС,справился легко. Второй подход 205кг,тоже удачный. Последний был 210кг,тоже удачный,на тренировке это и был максимальный вес,закрепил. Тренировки проходили под руководством тренера Олега Лившиц в онлайне,сам он приехать не смог,но подготовку провел хорошую,за что ему спасибо». Всем вам силки для добра и без травм!" Today was a very tough day, I didnt know how to deal with the situation. I laid in my bed for like over 3hours but I couldnt get rid of these thoughts, so I thought to do a workout instead and clear my mind...unfortunately it didnt work. But my workout was more or less nice. However, not every set was filmed. 4x160kg paused are missing, some #overheadsquats too and a set with less reps and 140kg is missing too. But I was quite happy to have improved my balance in the OH-squats and that I hit a paused PR of 190kg, which was incredibly hard. But I also had several sets prior to that lift.

“HOW DO YOU EAT SO MUCH?”

Can anyone just eat one cookie?
⠀
I know I can’t, I had two of these.😉
⠀
With that said, I want to address a question/statement that athletes hear frequently.
⠀
“How do you eat so much!?”. ⠀
Collectively, anyone can claim that having a larger appetite is linked to having a higher expenditure within an environment and/or career.
⠀
While these factors DO play a role in a humans appetite, there is one critical factor that is often overlooked.
⠀
Biological background.
⠀
What is that?🤔
⠀
See, when you succumb yourself to “dieting” year round, more than just adaptation to that intake occurs.
⠀
Routine.
⠀
You become subjected to a routine of foods that are low in calories, high in volume (fibrous), and allotted at times that are conveniently “suggested” to you by the fitness industry.
⠀
To add along with the cyclic dieting and routine, you lose awareness of the variety of food(s) you ate before the “diet”.
⠀
For instance, the chicken and pasta dish that you normally order, suddenly gives you anxiety.
⠀
Why?
⠀
The routine.
⠀
The replacing of a 300-500 calorie portion with a larger 700-900 portion terrifies you.
⠀
Oddly enough, overcoming this “fear” and beginning to eat more is easier than many think.
⠀
See, when you are NOT continually living in a “dieting” mindset year round, the metabolism has the opportunity to respond.
⠀
Your background with nutrition is ultimately what creates you biology for the future.
⠀
The humans that you witness eating “larger” amounts of food often do not have the time, the mental bandwidth, or desire to “track” calories.
⠀
These humans also do not rely on Kale leaves, fruit cups, or eating “lean” meats every 2 hours to fuel the demands of their busy lives.
⠀
Nonsense.
⠀
This is why the metabolism is so resilient to not just the food you intake.
⠀
More so, the demands, stress, and frequency of the environment (external) that you subject it to.

In exchange, instead of focusing on “how much _____ can/can not eat?”, do this.

Focus on what YOU can do.
Focus on who YOU can become.
⠀
Most of all, what YOU want to eat.

Not the industry.

Up and down twice on the Mont-Royal for a total of 20k / 12.5 miles 1h44. All those posterior chain, one legged exercices and hills are paying off. Can't wait to see what happens on my next races.

Ryan is an Atlanta firefighter that came to his first Semi Private Class today!⠀

He already moves very well, we just addressed a few nuances. One that can be seem in this video is his extension at the top of the pull.⠀
⠀
On the first Snatch, Ryan pulls under prematurely. You can notice that his legs never quite straighten out, so I cued him to correct this. He makes the correction and a much better lift. ⠀

Glad to have him, we’re seeing more first responders come around to lift with us!⠀

WELL! Today was a good day. 3x2 with 365 ten pounds up from last week’s 3x2. FREAKIN STOKED. Big bench is coming. Did 225x10 and 315x16(shown) on sumo deads. Not the prettiest but groin didn’t hurt!! And some SSB narrow stance with 135x15 and 225x10 shown on a 40 pound SSB. Am gestrigen Tag fand die 2. Runde TLMM statt. Für mich ging es darum, ein paar Punkte für meinen Verein, den SaV Erfurt, beizusteuern und schonmal eine Qualifikation für die DM Raw nächstes Jahr zu erhalten. Auch sollte die aktuelle Form ermittelt werden, mit der ich insgesamt doch recht zufrieden bin. Beuge scheint in die richtige Richtung zu gehen, Bank habe ich mein Mojo hoffentlich wiedergefunden und beim Heben hat man die Abstinenz von schweren Gewichten gemerkt. 
In Zahlen bedeutet dies 270/215/250 für ein Total von 735kg.

Nun heißt es nochmal Gas geben, in 6 Wochen findet das Insanity Meet statt, welches auch gleichzeitig mein nächster Jahreshöhepunkt ist.

Running Candito 6 week program....week 1 day 1.
Few lessons learnt this morning.....
1. Don't Think you can jump straight back into the same weights after a 2 week break.
2. I squat better with a more narrow stance.
3. Squats the day after a game of footy are disgusting.
4. Loosing body fat definitely affects strength.....a lot Apparently.

Вес на момент соревнований составлял 81кг. Life has been crazy this month and it feels like it just FLEW by (NAPF, Centrals, shaved my head, coaching full time, etc.) I am starting my prep for OPA Provincials and with full commitment to 72kg. Really looking forward to what I can bring this year 🤘🏿

Here's a fun and challenging hip thrust variation! Had a little fun doing some sled work for my active recovery day yesterday.

Best I can call this is a sled pull hip thrust.
.
Put the band right at hip level, hinge at the hips, and thrust forward and engage your glutes. You may not move very far but it's very effective at working on your lockout. All in all I did 3 sets of these down the hall. Roughly 30 reps each set. Try it out, your glutes and hammies will be 🔥 🔥!

Rosemary and Wine Sirloin Tip Roast

I think this is probably THE best sirloin roast I’ve made... which is saying something because I make this all the time. So tender and flavorful and honestly doesn’t take much effort once it is in the oven.
#
A few things to note:
1) I prefer a sirloin roast over other roasts. It’s typically leaner but still very tender. I’m sure you could use this recipe with other cuts but I can’t promise it will turn out as well.
2) The Traeger beef rub I used is actually meant for smoking meat but ended up complimenting the flavor of the meat and wine very well. Feel free to use your favorite beef rub or google a recipe if you don’t have one on hand!
3) I ended up cooking my roast for about 6 hours but it was massive. If you end up using a smaller roast or cut yours into sections it will reduce the cook time so be mindful of that. It’s pretty hard to overcook a roast this way though as long as there is still liquid in the Dutch oven. 
4) If you don’t have a Dutch oven you can use a roasting pan. You’ll just have to sear the meat, deglaze the pan and then transfer it to the roasting pan.
5) When I track the calories/macros for this type of recipe I’ll use CalorieKing and look up what the macros are for a cooked portion of meat. So for a sirloin steak/roast, broiled a 4oz portion is 0c/35p/6.4f. Is that exactly what it is? Probably not... but close enough. 🤷🏻‍♀️
