Day 5: San Francisco
After all the lucky days, this was our unlucky day.
Well... The expected San Francisco traffic was not as bad as we thought. When we made it over the bridge, we saw already the dark smog hanging over the city. We wanted to find WiFi to check for locations to stay overnight when we got to town. Leaving the car alone, felt not really nice in that city. We had a lot of encounters with - let's say - interesting people. We did not feel comfortable and going to the Golden Gate bridge to only see it covered in clouds made the decision easy to just leave the city.
An employee at the gas station suggested a place 30 minutes outside town: Half Moon Bay.
It was dawn when we made our way there, paid 50 bugs to camp next to the ocean in such a humidity that the tent got so wet outside and inside that it dropped on my forehead.
However, the next morning, we got blessed with an amazing view of the Ocean and my first ever Pacific Ocean view 😍
