Well, let's be real here, how many of you will still post in social media, if it didn't have a "like" function?
See the truth is, there is a lot of people out there who only post in social media now to get "likes", and it's no longer about sharing something that you care about, something that you are passionate about, or speaking on something that you believe in. It's more like you post it, cz the "likes" give you an euphoric feeling and you have to check your post, like every minute or so just to see how many "likes" you've gotten. Does this sound familiar? Yup, it's the exact same effect, as being on drugs.
It already has the effect that when people don't get as many "likes" on a post that they put up, they feel like nobody cares about them, no one is paying attention to them, no one likes them literally, and they get into these depressed mood and so.
That should not be the case. Posting in social media can be about anything (I'm not one to judge about this) but I strongly believe that it should not be just for the sake of "likes", cz when your life and especially, "ego" or "self fulfillment" revolves around getting "likes", you are actually putting your "satisfaction", in someone else's hands. So stop, like really, stop it.
Stop checking your phone every minute just to see how many "likes" you get, stop thinking about should you post something or not because you're not sure if people will "like" it, stop considering if you should put up a photo or not cz of the concern that it might just get a few "likes". Screw that man, just post whenever you want or what you like.
Remember, the things that you believe in and acting on them, is much more fulfilling for your "ego" than what someone else's "likes" will actually give you. Don't make social media your "drug", make it a place to speak your mind and be yourself. Cheers!! #motivation #log #growth #Life #positive #screwit #ego #socialmedia #drug #fulfillment
