Just cooked up some nutritious deer meat for my dinner, thanks to one of my clients who brought them back from his deer hunting trip. 🔪
Why deer meat? And why consuming game meat from hunting can be good for us?
Besides the high contents in protein and iron, deer meat is rich in B vitamins, specifically in vitamin B12 and vitamin B6. They may help lowering the build up of homocysteine in our blood which can reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and heart disease.
Deer meat is full of vitamin B2 and B3 which help regulate metabolism, keeping your energy levels at peak while burning fat!
Deer meat also lowers your triglyceride levels, making it easier to keep your body fat down.
Compare with the beef products we buy from supermarkets, deer meat harvested from hunting is FREE of any chemicals, artificial hormones and antibiotic injections.
Lastly, not to mention in some habitats, deers are extremely overpopulated which causes imbalance in food chain and other environmental problems in their natural habitats. Reducing the number of deers in such habitats via legal hunting is beneficial for sustainability in their natural habitats in a long run.
If you're a meat lover, give it a try!! 🦌🔥
