I want to give you guys my own tips and tricks on how to stay motivated in the gym!! It’s so easy too be motivated in the gym for 1 week, 1 month, but when you’re one year in or three years in, it’s not so easy anymore..
1️⃣ Don’t overdo it and don’t expect it to be easy... For me to keep my motivation I can’t just go from zero cardio to 6 times a week for 45 minutes.. It just really does not work for me because that ruins my motivation to go to the gym and I could care less about cardio. That is why when I started my cut I began with 1 day of cardio a week, and then I increased it slowly but surely. That way I did not loose motivation and I did not take on too much from the beginning. To be motivated in the gym you need to know your own body and what you actually are capable off and go from there.
2️⃣ Keep your routines fun and motivating... Basically create your workout split so it motivates you to go to the gym. If you do not enjoy what you’re doing at the gym you will not be motivated to go. But if you know that you’re having a fun and hard workout in front of you.. chances are that you’ll be motivated to go. It can look different for everyone and some people might switch it up every week to keep them motivated. But the gym shouldn’t be a chore or something you dread going to.
3️⃣ Make the gym a habit because the motivation will not always be there. There will be a time when the motivation to go to the gym is far gone and all you want to do is skip it and do something else. But if you have established a routine you don’t need the motivation every single day, you’ll get in the gym and do what’s needed and get out. It’s okay to have those days and it’s important because it truly tests our ability to fight through when there is zero motivation!!
