Love twists and excellent to warm the body up for say blueberries picking 😜😂💙 Made an awesome pie of some of it and I m saving some for breakfast but the rest will go in the freezer for wintertime 👌🏻😉 I'll see how the weather is tomorrow and either go on another long walk or head to the beach 😋☀️🏖️🌸 making the most of the last few days of my vacation! .

Sometimes the right thing to do is also the hardest thing to do. But challenge is what helps us grow, so it’s not so bad. This last week I was told by my physio that I can’t run for a week. That meant no marathon training, no half marathon, no november project. Nothing.

Obviously I had the choice in the end: am I going to listen to my physio and let my body heal or am I going to listen to my eating disorder and push through. It sounds like an easy choice, just listen and get better. But it didn’t feel so easy In the moment.

I ended up taking the week completely off running like I was told. I withdrew from my half marathon and chilled out on the workouts a fair amount and boy did it ever pay off. I haven’t taken pain killers in over a week (I’ve been on max dose of extra strength for 2 months) so that alone was huge. But on top of that I’m allowed to run again, just not high mileage runs.so I can’t do the last training run for my marathon.

I got to go to november project this morning and ran nearly pain free which felt amazing! It honestly made the break so worth it! And now we work on slowly building the mileage back up and hope the pain stays controlled.

I’m trying really hard to trust the process. To let my body heal and rest and recover when it needs to so I’m on top of my game when race day comes around, but there’s always that little voice in my head telling me I’m slacking off or that I won’t do well if I don’t follow the training plan to a T.

The right thing for you isn’t always the easy option. It’s usually the hard one, the one where you loose something or miss out on something. But learning to listen to your body (and health care professionals) and to trust the process is so huge. In the end, that’s probably what’s going to get you ahead the most.

But on top of that I’m allowed to run again, just not high mileage runs.so I can’t do the last training run for my marathon. I got to go to november project this morning and ran nearly pain free which felt amazing! It honestly made the break so worth it! And now we work on slowly building the mileage back up and hope the pain stays controlled. I’m trying really hard to trust the process. To let my body heal and rest and recover when it needs to so I’m on top of my game when race day comes around, but there’s always that little voice in my head telling me I’m slacking off or that I won’t do well if I don’t follow the training plan to a T. The right thing for you isn’t always the easy option. It’s usually the hard one, the one where you loose something or miss out on something. But learning to listen to your body (and health care professionals) and to trust the process is so huge. To support my coach and HELL I’ll even say my FRIEND @leo.savage.smf for the next 30 days I’ll be flowing my heart out everyday and pouring every oz of my soul into it. Flow is more than a state of concentration. It is the freedom to express yourself through movement. Way way back before I was ever into fitness I was an artist and you know what some people didn’t like that. I got bullied, picked on, called names. But these days it’s okay to be different, it’s okay to march to the beat of your own drum. El día de ayer pudimos ver varios homenajes a aquellos maestros que han aportado su sabiduría en nuestro sendero de yoga. Pues ayer se celebró el #gurupurnima, que significa cumpleaños del guru, y es el día que honramos al gurú y a todos los maestros. La fecha varía según el calendario lunar.

Pero ¿que es un Gurú? 🌬
Es un término en sánscrito que significa “maestro”/“guía espiritual” .
Es una persona que posee sabiduría y capacidad para orientar a un grupo de personas hacia la iluminación. El gurú ha logrado la iluminación tan anhelada en esta disciplina. 
El gurú dedica su trabajo con los discípulos a enseñar técnicas de meditación, el sendero del yoga, recitar mantras, y actúa como sacerdote en la investidura del alumno de yoga. 
Según el #rigveda (texto más antiguo de la India 🇮🇳) significa alto grado, vehemente, excesivo, dificultoso.

It’s days like today that I remember why recovery is worth it! It’s days like today that make my mind, body and soul so happy! And I needed a day like today now more than ever

The last few months have been really up and down. I’ve struggled with eating and exercise. I have been in and out of recovery vs relapse but have managed to pull it together every time. Sometimes you just need a reminder of what you’re fighting for

So many friends, a PR 10k (48:12), yoga in the park and a freaking delicious donut. It’s pretty simple but that’s all it takes to remind yourself why life is so worth it.

When I was sick I wouldn’t have been able to do this run. I wouldn’t have enjoyed the donut or done yoga or been present in the moment with all these incredible people! I would have missed out on so much

Recovery may suck sometimes but it’s so much better than the alternative. It’s so much more fun to be able to challenge yourself and live life and eat the damn donut when you want to! Fight for the days like today, I promise they do exist!

Also a huge shoutout to that anxiety provoking Mac and cheese last night! May have been hard but it fuelled this run and we killed it!
